We already knew that from their recent controversial T-shirt design, which blurred the line between Haiti relief and advertising campaign by including the slogan "Help, I'm Alive," in reference to their recent single. Panda Bear Hints at Animal Collective Hiatus

Animal Collective's career so far has been on a steady upward trajectory, with last year's Merriweather Post Pavilion making them indie music's most buzzed-about band. However, in a new interview with BBC 6 Music, founding member Noah Lennox (aka Panda Bear) revealed that the band may be stepping back from the limelight, explaining that last year's marathon tour has burned them out. It's been less than two years since Wolf Parade's last album, 2008's At Mount Zoomer, but somehow the wait feels much longer. After all, the band's output seems paltry compared to the vast number of side-project albums coming from the group's primary songwriters: Dan Boeckner and Spencer Krug. Luckily, those holding out for new Wolf Parade material won't have to wait for much longer. Speaking with Exclaim!, singer/guitarist Boeckner has revealed that the new album is just around the corner and given us a heads-up on what to expect. (More after the jump.)

Universal to Lower CD Prices to Less Than $10

CDs are quickly going the way of the 8-track, and any plan to revive plummeting sales is only a temporary measure. Still, Universal Music Group will be giving it a shot, as Billboard reports that the record label will be experimenting with CDs priced at less than $10. Beginning in the second quarter of this year, some CDs will even be priced as low as $6. (More after the jump.)
