Published Aug 28, 2014With her Taiga LP due later this year, gothy pop performer Zola Jesus continues to ramp up excitement. Today, she's shared a video for lead single "Dangerous Days."
The thumping synth-pop track is paired with cinematic shots of a body of water and some steamy mountains. Zola Jesus is one with nature as she delivers the song from the side of the lake.
Tim Saccenti, the video's director, shared the following statement:
The song is a pure emotional plea, a future primitive call to arms. To create a moment of light in these dark times was our hope. Eschewing a heavy narrative we let the images of the Earth, filmed in wide screen and mixed with a tense unnatural presence, wash over the viewer while Nika communicates her powerful message.
