Since forming late last year, Ottawa's Zex have been on a songwriting spree. The group, which features former members of Germ Attak, Iron Dogs, Slumlord and many others, are finally set to share their debut single "Savage City" today (May 1). To celebrate, they've released a video.
The melodic punk anthem is treated to a black and white clip that splices badass performance footage with a violent street fight. Still, it's the quality of the music that shines through the most.
"Savage City" is available now on a 7-inch from Electric Assault, with a song called "Buy or Die" on the flipside. The band have another 7-inch forthcoming, with their debut full-length slated for a summer release.
