Zeus have long been recognized as a group that treads the line between classic and modern rock music. Their attention to sounds both old and new has helped them become a favourite within the Canada's rock music sphere, and with three albums under their belt already, this status is sure to stay.
We invited the Toronto locals to the backyard of the Exclaim! office for a performance of "Where Is My Love," taken from their recently released studio record Classic Zeus.
After a quick count-in, the tune's laid-back acoustic twin-guitar strumming is anchored by strong bass lines and auxiliary percussion. The band has always been noted for using the vocals of three members, and their harmonies are perfectly in tune here. They prove to be particularly strong in the song's last half, adding some extra richness and depth during a change to a slower tempo.
