Zerbin Announce New 'Touch' EP, Tour Across Canada

BY Matthew RitchiePublished Oct 15, 2013

Victoria-based indie rock songwriting duo Jason Zerbin and Peter Mol (a.k.a. Zerbin) have had a pretty good run since forming in 2009, with tracks from their debut LP, Of Fools Gold, charting on modern rock radio and performances alongside the likes of the Flamings Lips and AWOLNATION. Now the pair are ready to reach even higher heights with the announcement of their new EP, Touch, hitting shelves on October 29 through distribution company Fontana North, followed by an upcoming national tour.

According to the band's website, the EP is intended to act like an audio amuse-bouche of sorts, tiding over fans and newcomers alike until the release of their as-yet-untitled sophomore LP, which is slated for release sometime in 2014. Apparently a five-track collection inspired by the likes of "straightforward stadium rock" and the "UK's alt-rock pioneers," the mini-release promises to be one of the band's most accessible releases to date, "one that embraces both anthem and whimsy" while sticking to the group's guitar-driven sound.

In support of the EP, Zerbin will be touring across Canada, with appearances all the way from Calgary to Quebec City during the month of November.
