Earlier this year, we told you that Prairie folkster Zachary Lucky had a new album on the way. Sure enough, the Saskatoon singer-songwriter has detailed his forthcoming full-length, The Ballad of Losing You, which is out on September 17 through Missed Connections Records.
The album was recorded in analog with engineer Chad Mason in Saskatchewan. It was then mixed by Jonathan Anderson (Aidan Knight, Jordan Klassen). According to a press release, "It is a serious and heartfelt listen — one that sacrifices modern perfection for an older sensibility, character and quality of tone and mood."
This album follows Lucky's 2012 EP Saskatchewan. The old-time-y cover artwork is above and the tracklist is below.
The hushed, rustic album cut "Woke Up" is available to stream at the bottom of the page. If you're suitably impressed, the album is available to pre-order from Bandcamp on CD, vinyl, or digitally.
