Zach Bryan Says What We're All Thinking in Titling Live Album 'All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster'

"I am so tired of people saying things can't be done about this massive issue while huge monopolies sit there stealing money from working class people"

Heading into 2023, Ticketmaster is staring down a US senate hearing and a pair of Swiftie-led class action lawsuits following Taylor Swift's Eras tour ticketing debacle, and fellow songwriter Zach Bryan has given the live music monopoly a final kiss-off for 2022 with a new live album titled All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster.

Bryan's live album, which captures a performance at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, arrived December 25, its title a play on the meme "Fuck X, All My Homies Use Y."

In an accompanying statement shared via Instagram, the country songwriter explained the mindset behind his album title, taking umbrage with the "massive issue with fair ticket prices to live shows" — one largely driven by the entertainment conglomerate's "dynamic pricing" model.

"I have met kids at my shows who have paid upwards of four-hundred bucks to be there and I'm done with it," Bryan wrote. "I've decided to play a limited number of headline shows next year to which I've done all I can to make prices as cheap as possible and to prove to people tickets don't have to cost $450 to see a good and honest show."

Bryan expressed that he is "so tired of people saying things can't be done about this massive issue while huge monopolies sit there stealing money from working class people." In something of a response to $5,000 Bruce Springsteen tickets (and the Boss's subsequent defence of the four-figure price), the songwriter noted, "Also, to any songwriter trying to make 'relatable music for the working class man or woman' should pride [themselves] on fighting for the people who listen to the words they're singing."

Below, you can read the complete statement from our new homie Zach Bryan, and can play All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster ahead of ringing in what desperately needs to be the Year of Antitrust Law.
