Yukon Blonde

"Crazy"

Yukon Blonde are at last releasing some follow-up material to their 2015 LP On Blonde. It's not a full-length, however, but rather a two-song 10-inch, and you can hear the A-side "Crazy" now.

According to a press release, the tracks were born in Spain, with Yukon Blonde frontman Jeff Innes and his bandmates recording "Crazy" and "Emotional Blackmail" in the foreign land. Both will be collected on the new clear-vinyl 10-inch, which go up for sale tomorrow (July 28) via Dine Alone. Tomorrow will also mark their official digital release.

"The idea for the song came about just before a show in Munich at the end of the tour," said Innes in a statement. "I was just outside of the club and I could hear the rest of the band sound checking one of our songs. I had the chords mixed up in my mind so it sounded like a completely different tune. As I was humming this melody outside, I was simultaneously trying to think of what to say to defend my slightly erratic behaviour to a girl I had met in Spain. And so as I was writing to her, I ended up writing the lyrics to the song."

For now you can hear "Crazy" below, where you can also see the band's upcoming tour dates.

Tour dates:

07/29 Halifax, NS - Red Bull Tour Bus
