Yuck's Daniel Blumberg Unveils Debut Record by Hebronix Solo Project

Last week, Daniel Blumberg quit Yuck, and his bandmates revealed, "He's decided to focus on other things." Now, we know a little more about what those "other things" are, since Blumberg has announced a new album with a different project.

This solo vehicle is called Hebronix. Blumberg's first release under the new moniker is called Unreal, and it will be out on July 9 via ATP Recordings.

The was recorded in Denver, CO, and produced by Neil Hagerty of Royal Trux and the Howling Hex. Press materials refer to the collection as an "album" and "LP," but the tracklist includes just six songs, meaning that it will probably be considered an EP unless the cuts are especially long.

For a taste of Unreal, stream the title track below. It's an atmospheric, melancholic rock ballad that culminates in a lengthy guitar jam that takes up almost half of its five-minute-plus runtime.

If you're suitably impressed, the album is available to pre-order on CD or vinyl right here.

Unreal:

1. Unliving
2. Viral
3. Wild Whim
4. Unreal
5. Garden
6. The Plan
