YouTube Honour the Rolling Stones As "Living Legends"

YouTube has announced it will now usher in a new program known as Living Legends, which will allow the YouTube community to interact with global luminaries of politics, news, film, literature, humanitarianism, sports and music. Who might be the first to shine a light on? The Rolling Stones, of course. Well, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards that is.

Essentially YouTubers will be able to upload their questions for Mick’n’Keef to answer. To fluff up this entire inaugural Q&A, the Rolling Stones will take over the YouTube homepage and show off exclusive behind-the-scenes clips from their new movie, Shine A Light, plus classic music videos and new interviews.

"Living Legends offers a unique opportunity for people to interact with famous luminaries and we're excited for the YouTube community to have the chance to engage in a direct dialogue with one of the most legendary bands of all time," said Michele Flannery, YouTube’s music community manager. "We are looking forward to seeing the conversation unfold."

The program will be made available to 15 localised YouTube sites including Canada, Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Russia, Poland, Mexico, Brazil and Japan.
