Hamilton, ON-based unit Young Rival returned with their latest LP Interior Light back in the fall, then took the new material out on the road earlier this year. Now, they're already set to offer up some fresh material in the form of an EP titled Strange Light — and you can stream it right now.
The five-song set officially arrives next week via Paper Bag Records, but the band are giving fans a chance to hear in its entirety a bit early.
The tracks came from the same sessions as Interior Light, which found the band working with producer and Holy Fuck dude Graham Walsh.
"Our sessions with Graham were so fruitful that we emerged from the studio with what we felt were two sets of songs," the band's Noah Fralick explained in a press release. "We decided that we wanted them all to be released. I think of Strange Light as an extension or companion piece to Interior Light."
