New York-based performer Young Paris (a.k.a. Milandou Badila) is ready to unveil his new video for "The Haus," and Exclaim.ca has got the exclusive premiere.
Badila's music blends hip-hop, electronica and traditional African music, making for an explosive and unique sound. His live performance features five of his siblings, with an emphasis on movement — which is hardly surprising, given that their parents are renowned Congolese dancers.
The dancing skills definitely get showcased in the new clip for "The Haus," with the extensive cast delivering impressive, entertaining moves. The music, choreography and costuming seamlessly blend traditional elements with the contemporary, all coming together in the highly stylized black and white footage.
You can get your first look at Young Paris's new video, which was directed by Jeremy Rubier, Mateo Mounier and Young Paris himself, below.
Young Paris will be performing at Toronto's Rivoli on February 27, and you can get more details about that show here. Also, keep an eye out for Young Paris at this year's CMW festival in Toronto.
