Rapper Young Jeezy, who most recently caught our attention with the release of his #It'sThaWorld2, is now in the news for more sinister reasons, as the performer has been arrested for allegedly abusing his son.

According to TMZ, Jeezy was arrested for battery, false imprisonment and "making terroristic threats" against his son.

Allegedly, an incident in September 2012 saw Jeezy get into a fight with his son in a bathroom. According to court documents, Jeezy threw his son into a glass shower door, where his son hit his head. Then Jeezy allegedly punched him in the face, dragged him into the bedroom, threw him on the bed and pummelled him.

Further, documents allege that Jeezy choked out his son, saying, "I will kill you.... I will put a bullet in your head right now.... If I could get away with it, I would kill you."

Jeezy turned himself into authorities on January 3 after a grand jury warrant for each charge was issued. He is currently out on $45,000 bail.

"We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately," Jeezy's attorney told TMZ. "At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family's privacy."
