Young Benjamins

"Young Argument" (live video)

It's been just about two years since Saskatoon-based indie-pop unit Young Benjamins tried to keep the peace with Less Argue, and now they've unveiled a new live video for "Young Argument" from that same record.

Blending catchy pop melodies with indie-folk instrumentation, the band have spent the better part of the last two years honing their craft on the road. It makes sense then that they're ready to show off some of that live energy in the new clip.

The footage was filmed during the band's trip to the Great Escape festival in Brighton, UK, with the camera capturing the group's stripped-down performance at Amsterdammers bike shop. It's a barebones rendition of the group's orchestral sound, featuring just an acoustic guitar, violin and some makeshift percussion.

Young Benjamins are currently working on the follow-up to Less Argue, and while it's not expected out until later this year or early next year, they will be playing a hometown show in Saskatoon at the Bassment on June 5.

As we await details of the forthcoming new material, check out the premiere of the group's acoustic rendition of "Young Argument" in the player below.
