Tragedy-stricken indie rock new wavers You Say Party recently announced their big return, and just yesterday (July 20) unveiled their first show with a new lineup. Now, the Abbotsford, BC five-piece are preparing to hit the road for a European tour this fall and, on September 21, will release a new remix album, aptly titled REMIXXXX, via Paper Bag.
The ten-track digital-only collection features various remixes of three different songs from last year's XXXX. There are four versions of "Dark Days," plus four different takes on "There Is XXXX (Within My Heart)" and two of "Laura Palmer's Prom."
The remixes mostly come from a host of electro-leaning artists, including CFCF, Sally Shapiro's Johan Agebjörn, Mathemagic and Babe Rainbow. Los Campesinos's shoegazing reworking of "Laura Palmer's Prom" (previously released as a B-side to the original single) will also appear.
