With CIVL-FM's inaugural Fraser Valley Music Awards now in full swing, Abbotsford, BC-bred quartet You Say Party have announced their contribution to a forthcoming compilation album highlighting the area's musical talents.

The band have confirmed that a remix of "Underside" from their latest self-titled release will appear on the compilation, set for release at the Fraser Valley Music Awards gala taking place this July. Along with funding from the Community Radio Fund of Canada, CIVL has pledged thousands of dollars of internal funds towards the production, promotion and distribution of the release to raise awareness of Fraser Valley music.

"It's one thing to say 'we're going to make a compilation album of local musicians,'" CIVL station manager Aaron Levy explained in a statement, "but to say 'this album will put our best and brightest local artists on a release right next to a band with international recognition' is another level of value completely. We're incredibly thankful for YSP's faith in this project."

Artists have until March 31 to submit music to the 2016 Fraser Valley Music Awards, which can be done by completing the submission form here. For additional information on submissions, sponsoring, volunteering, or becoming an official juror, the station can be contacted here.
