Ian Kamau is based in Toronto, but he headed to Montreal to collaborate with producer Jai Nitai Lotus on his latest track, "You, I."
The song places Kamau's R&B crooning and rapped romantic insecurities overtop of Nitai's organic, sample-based hip-hop grooves.
In an announcement, Kamau explained, "Nitai and I organized a time, spent an evening at his home in NDG around the dinner table with his wife and daughter and by the end of the evening we had recorded a simple song."
