Oddball octogenarian Yoko Ono is gathering remixes for a collection called Yes, I'm a Witch Too. One of these is "Forgive Me My Love," which has got the remix treatment from Death Cab for Cutie.
This song retains the emotive, confessional romance of the original track, with Ono's lyrics and melodies preserved. The arrangement is more urgent and anxious than the original, with a fidgety arrangement of driving beats, blippy synth wonkiness and woozy breakdowns. In other words, it doesn't bear much of Death Cab's stamp, but it's pretty cool-sounding nonetheless.
