YOB

There is a point at which sound, at sufficient volume and when played with enough animal ferociousness, undergoes an alchemical transformation. YOB are masters of this magic, and know exactly how much force and presence to infuse into their sound to transform listening into a tangible, physical experience. As "Prepare the Ground" buffeted the crowd, the audience felt their entire bodies co-opted by the experience, as though flesh and bone was transfigured into eardrum and nerve. YOB's set aimed for pressure points, and knew all our weaknesses.
