Published Sep 07, 2012Venerable New Jersey indie rock group Yo La Tengo haven't released a proper studio album since their 2009 effort Popular Songs. Rather than keep us waiting any longer, however, the band have announced a new EP, which will be followed by a full-length.
The new short-player is called Stupid Things, and a press release indicates that it features a regular version of the title track, as well as a remix from EYE of Boredoms, an extended instrumental and a version with alternate lyrics.
Stupid Things will be available on September 25 via Matador. The record will be limited to 1,500 12-inch vinyl copies.
The EP will precede the band's upcoming, yet-to-be-titled full-length, which is said to be hitting shelves in January of 2013.
