Yann Tiersen Premieres "Usal Road" Video

BY Sarah MurphyPublished May 14, 2019

French composer Yann Tiersen released his latest album All earlier this year, and now he's treated "Usal Road" from that record to a set of visuals.

"This refers to the exact place where we were chased by a mountain lion in California," Tiersen said in a statement about the song. "I returned and recorded the violin this track on location in the exact same place and I included it not because of the place, but because this was a life changing experience. It changed my entire way of seeing the world."

The album itself drew heavily from nature and geography, so it's fitting that the video for "Usal Road" capture the beautiful landscape. The camera moves across rocky, moss-covered terrain towards a lighthouse, travelling ever so slowly, as to allow the viewer to absorb the details of the breathtaking view.
