Yamantaka // Sonic Titan Sign U.S. Deal with Suicide Squeeze

Yamantaka // Sonic Titan haven't given us too many details on their next LP, but one thing we know for sure is that the U.S. edition of said record will be pressed by Suicide Squeeze.

The business pairing was announced today (April 17) in a press release, with a confirmation that new music is on the way, as well as tour dates. Last year, the prog-influenced art collective signed to Paper Bag Records in Canada.

While song specifics don't exist at present, drummer Alaska B had previously told Exclaim! that the act had reconfigured their gear set-up, which "will affect our songwriting on the next record."

"We have all our gear set-up planned; our guitarist has a giant pedal board set up and we're just ready to do it,"" Alaska explained. "I'll be playing with a different kit set-up playing with a different set of cymbals and mixing all the electronic elements."

She also noted that the record will make use of Ableton Live in regards to drum triggering.

Beyond LP plans, the band's videogame Your Task: Shoot Things is still in the works. You can pre-order the iOS and Android-geared "interactive rock opera," which apparently mixes side-scrolling shooter-style gaming tactics with the feel of Yamantaka // Sonic Titan's tripped-out live show, via Indiegogo. You can also see a trailer for the game down below.
