Wzt Hearts Call It Quits
After four years and two full-lengths, it looks like the curtains are closing for Baltimore noise crew Wzt Hearts. Due to geographical displacement, the band have decided to call it quits and focus on new projects. In an email statement, band member Jason Urick explained "the challenges of staying active while being physically displaced from one another eventually took their toll, as we all have been involved with other aspects of our life as well. We are extremely thankful to all those who we've met, played with, and worked with over the last four years and we hope to continue those relationships as we all move onto other projects.”

Those relationships he speaks of include each other, as the band insist that the split was entirely amicable. Of course, they’ll all be busy with myriad other projects, including various noise collaborations and solo records. Jeff Donaldson is touring with These Are Powers as their sound man, as well as making 8-bit noise with his NoTendo project. Shaun Flynn recently completed a stint on Dan Deacon’s Baltimore Round Robin tour. Mike Haleta will continue to work on Backbreakerneckbrace, a project he started with his wife. Finally, Jason Urick is wrapping up a solo album as Moonstealingproject.
