Published Apr 04, 2013The forward-thinking music fans at Weird Canada have staged several travelling Wyrd Fests over the past few years, and they will keep the series going in 2013 by holding Wyrd IV this May in Toronto and Montreal.
This year's bill includes a collaborative performance from Jennifer Castle and Wyrd Visions, Zachary Fairbrother Feedback Guitar Orchestra, and Isla Craig's Soul Sisters Supreme Redux 2.0.
The Toronto show will additionally feature a special afternoon listening salon with Weird Canada's Aaron Levin and Jesse Locke discussing releases from the Music Gallery Editions label. The Montreal gig, on the other hand, will include an opening performance from the High Dukes.
Montreal's event is scheduled for May 10 at Casa del Popolo. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door and can be purchased here. The Toronto show is on May 11 at the Music Gallery. It costs $10 for members, $13 in advance at Soundscapes, and $17 otherwise. Tickets are available here. The afternoon listening salon is free.
