As previously reported, the fringe-loving freaks at Weird Canada have pulled together a thrilling lineup for the third annual Wyrd Fest, which travels through Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver this May. To up the stakes, however, the organizers have taken their plans to the other side of the Canadian Shield, with the first-ever Montreal Wyrd Fest now planned for the summer.

Teaming up with the organizers of annual Suoni Per Il Popolo festival, Montreal's Wyrd Fest will take place on June 20 at Montreal's La Sala Rossa. The lineup includes appearances from d'Eon, Lantern, Dreamcatcher, Duzheknew, Ultrathin, Feral Children, Hobo Expanding Cult Band, Headaches, Shortpants Romance and Rob Feulner.

On top of all that out-there music, the festival will also include an incredible "mega merch bazaar," featuring visual art, records and other exciting goodies from Arbutus, Divorce, Fixture, Scotch Tapes, Bruised Tongue, Campaign For Infinity, Fluorescent Friends, Electric Voice, Hobo Cult, Fadeaway Tapes, Los Discos Enfantasmos, They Live We Sleep, Vintage Violence, Totally Disconnected, Planet of the Tapes, Dream Sequence and, somehow, many more.

But wait, there's more. Organizers also said that two more surprise artists will be revealed in the coming weeks. More information on Wyrd Montreal can be found here while tickets for the event are available here.
