Published Jul 02, 2013In perhaps one of the more ill-conceived team-ups of recent memory, countless metal musicians from the likes of Cattle Decapitation, Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus and more have been contributing to a cover of ultra-repetitive school bus sing-along "99 Bottles of Beer."
Metal Sucks reports that the project is being steered by Fulgora bassist John Jarvis and Cattle Decapitation bassist Derek Engemann, who have opted to record the track as the B-side to the upcoming Boozehoundz EP from Engemann's side-project the Houndz.
Apparently, the pair have been collecting recordings for the project for the cover for some time now, and the partial list of participants also includes members of Suffocation, Devourment, Misery Index, Cryptopsy, Cerebral Bore, Decrepit Birth, Unmerciful, Putrid Pile, Insidious Decrepancy, Cephalic Carnage and Murder Construct. More collaborators will be revealed in the future.
A solid street date has yet to be delivered for the Boozehoudz EP, but sessions for "99 Bottles of Beer" are expected to be completed by the end of the summer.
