Woodpigeon

"Red Rover, Red Rover" (video)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Feb 28, 2013

Calgary orchestral pop act Woodpigeon released their album, Thumbtacks + Glue, this week through Boompa/Fierce Panda, and now the Mark Andrew Hamilton-led project have released a video for album cut "Red Rover, Red Rover."

This song has a melancholic mood reminiscent of Elliott Smith, and the accompanying video is a piece of outdated-looking propaganda for the censorship-advocating Citizens for Decent Literature Inc. It contains alarmist messages about STDs and pregnancies, and includes lots of censored nudity, all of which is captioned with the song's lyrics.
