Later this month, San Francisco psych rockers Wooden Shjips will release West, their debut album for Thrill Jockey. Now, they've added to the busy schedule with the announcement of a North American tour.
The run of shows kicks off in the band's home of San Francisco on August 18 and will continue up the West Coast before they head east for a batch of shows with Birds of Avalon. On that portion of the trek, they'll treat Canada to shows in Toronto and Montreal.
In addition to the travel plans, Wooden Shjips have revealed details on a deluxe pre-order of West. The album, which officially drops on September 13, can be purchased now with an exclusive seven-inch, along with a nifty tote bag. The pre-order is available here.
There's also a brand new video for album opener "Black Smoke Rise." The clip, which was directed by Miko Revereza, can be viewed below.
