Women Tour the World

BY Josiah HughesPublished Sep 26, 2008

Calgary’s Women are building steam with the release of their self-titled debut on Flemish Eye earlier this year. As previously reported, that release will soon be out stateside by way of Jagjaguwar (which should consider swapping names with its distributor, Secretly Canadian) on October 7. But don’t fret — it’s not just "pay attention to America” time. The band have announced over two weeks of Canadian dates.

The whole thing kicks off tonight in Saskatoon. From there, the band will head east, playing Winnipeg and then an octet of dates in Ontario and Quebec, many of which include their buddy Chad VanGaalen. From there, they’ll spend some time on the American West coast before flying to Europe for some late November dates.
