Women Return on New Seven-Inch

Women Return on New Seven-Inch
While it's unclear whether or not the gents in experimental indie rockers Women are back on speaking terms following that messy onstage fight a couple of months back, fans of the Calgary act can rest easy knowing that the on-hiatus outfit have at least one more release left in them. A recently released seven-inch single hosts a new track by the group, as well as tunes from three more acts.

The new seven-inch split features the unreleased Women track "Bullfight," the first song to be released by the band following last fall's acclaimed Public Strain LP. You can preview the song now up on this Bandcamp page or below.

Drummer Michael Wallace's side-project Friendo is also featured on the vinyl release, contributing the Sonic Youth-indebted "Pass Times." The song follows up last year's Cold Toads LP.

The seven-inch offers more than just Cancon indie rock, though, and highlights a couple of overseas acts as well. UK-based tropical rockers Fair Ohs trickle out the sun-soaked "Jeanneret," while peppy psych punks Cold Pumas drop a hazy tune of their own. Check out the full tracklisting below.

Faux Disc is offering the collection as both a limited edition vinyl release and a digital package. Vinyl is limited to 500 copies.
