Despite Wiz's real-life status as a married adult and father, the video for "Promises" plays out like a high school movie, with Wiz pining over a special lady down at a basketball court. He observes her from afar while chilling with his friends, then eventually wins her over by shielding her from the rain with his unbuttoned shirt (which looks like it came from Weird Al's wardrobe).
