Summer is finally here and what better way to start it off than to check out the July issue of Exclaim!, which is making its way across the country. But, if you've yet to make it down to the newsstand, all its content can be found online over at the July issue contents page.

This month's cover features New Jersey's own the Gaslight Anthem. Recently having released the band's third album American Slang, the rock'n'roll punk-tinged quartet are hot on the trail of big-time popularity, Bruce Springsteen comparisons or not.

Bloc Party's very own Kele also sits down with us to answer our Questionnaire, and we outline the history of the Roots in our Timeline.

The Points section this month contains a variety of different feature articles, with the latest updates from Stars, Wolf Parade, White Lung, Konono No. 1, Coliseum and Matthew Jonson.

We also talk about the newest Canadian copyright bill in our Summer Music School section, as well as learn what Alpha Yaya Diallo's favourite instruments are in the What I Play section.

July's Conversations start out with the NYC-based LCD Soundsystem as the band's James Murphy and Nancy Whang discuss their latest album This Is Happening. Sticking with the New York theme, we also have a conversation with Brooklyn-based the National, plus interviews with Walter Schreifels, Refused's Dennis Lyxzén and Club 8's Johan Angergård. Clutch, Robyn and Casiokids make our Conversations section as well.

As usual there is a lot more content on Exclaim.ca, including film and music reviews, interviews and features. For the full list of what's out there now, check out the July contents page.
