Wire "Split Your Ends"

Wire "Split Your Ends"
Wire have been active since the '70s, but it's taken them until now to release a self-titled album. With Wire due out on April 21 through the band's own Pinkflag label, the British post-punk vets have shared "Split Your Ends."

The track surges forward for three and a half minutes, its brisk post-momentum never relenting. Aside from some cyclical riffs in the second half, the arrangement scarcely develops at all, but the melodic vocals and shimmering distortion make it hypnotically engrossing.
