Midland Cultural Centre has announced a series of Canadiana concerts to be held in downtown Midland, ON, this coming fall.
So far, two nights of performances have been planned as a part of the series. The first one will bring Sloan to Midland on September 21, while the second has Wintersleep and opening act Walrus scheduled to perform on October 4.
In a statement about their involvement with Canadiana Music Series, Walrus noted their excitement to perform in Midland, "We pride ourselves on being a hard-working band. We take our live show seriously and want to put on a real performance for the audience."
Walrus are gearing up toward their latest album's release this fall. Cool to Who comes out October 18 via Outside Music.
Wintersleep are fresh off the heels of their latest album In the Land Of, which came out in March via Dine Alone. They also just wrapped up a massive Canadian tour this spring.
Meanwhile, Sloan announced late last year that their 2009 album Hit & Run would be treated to a special vinyl release in celebration of its 20th anniversary.
