Winter Gloves Return with New EP, Tour with Young Galaxy

BY Josiah HughesPublished Feb 16, 2011

Montreal quartet Winter Gloves have built a solid career on their ability to craft exciting, danceable pop that gets to the point quickly. On last year's All Red, they outdid themselves, as frontman Charles F got behind the boards and self-produced their direct and lively tracks. Thanks to that newfound penchant for self-production, the band have just finished off another batch of songs for a new EP.

The release is called Heart Out and is the result of Winter Gloves finishing off leftover ideas from the All Red sessions over the Christmas holidays at their Montreal studio. Matching their well-trained band dynamic is Born Ruffians frontman Luke Lalonde, who stopped by the studio to lend his pipes to the song "Paper Pile."

Heart Out will be digitally released on Paper Bag Records on March 8, and they have a five-track iTunes Live Session due on Tuesday (February 22). It will be followed by an appearance at Toronto's Canadian Music Week and a previously announced U.S. tour with Young Galaxy. All dates are available below.
