Hailing from Winnipeg, brotherly duo Alone I Walk will release their new EP The Hardest Years Yet later this year, but before it arrives, they've offered a preview with the track "Try My Best."

The song hears Franky Courcelles drawing inspiration from a dark period a couple years back, in the midst of a "dying relationship."

"I had a lot of negativity pent up in my head and nothing I did would bring me clarity," he tells Exclaim! "I went on a full body/mental detox where I drank only water, ate only fruit and vegetables. Cut out all sugar, weed, alcohol, coffee and cigarettes."

"This song came to me one day as I took the long way home, while driving down the gravel road the lines smacked me right in the face," he continues. "'I wasted all my time, trying to realize what's happened to me, the emptiness I feel inside.' Every time I hear the song or play it, my body is filled with chill and I get mad goosebumps."

Listen to the new track for yourself down below. It officially hits digital streaming services tomorrow (August 15).
