Following various sexual misconduct allegations against Hedley, a venue in Windsor has now cancelled the band's upcoming concert in the city.
Caesars Windsor in Ontario announced today that the Hedley concert slated to take place at the venue next month will not go ahead, the Canadian Press reports.
"Hedley will not be performing at Caesars Windsor on March 11, 2018. We will not be making any further comments beyond this point," the casino said in a statement, adding that refunds will be available to ticket holders.
Caesars Windsor spokeswoman Jhoan Baluyot further clarified to CP that that it was the venue that cancelled the upcoming concert, not the band themselves.
The news of cancellation comes after various sexual misconduct allegations have been levelled against the group. Most recently, Hedley singer Jacob Hoggard was accused of rape by a 24-year-old Ottawa woman in a CBC article. Hoggard has denied the allegations.
As previously reported, Hedley withdrew from the Junos earlier this month after organizers cancelled their performance in the wake of the allegations brought up against the band via the #outHedley2k18 social media campaign. The group did not, however, cancel their ongoing tour, though several of its opening acts have dropped off the trek.
Earlier today, the 21-year-old Manitoba woman who started the #outHedley2k18 hashtag spoke out to the CBC about the Hedley social media campaign.
At this time, no formal charges have been laid against Hedley and no allegations have been proven in a court of law.
