Published Dec 10, 2008The Edge and Daniel Lanois have practically made it sound like the new U2 album, No Line On The Horizon, will completely reinvent rock'n'roll with it's sure-to-be radio-friendly, sure-to-be epic pop rock. Now rumours are circulating that Black Eyed Peas mastermind Will.I.Am will also be contributing production, making it a complete dream come true for the yuppie circuit.
Will.I.Am recently spoke with Billboard, and while it was confirmed that he had been working with the band in London, all he would say was, "I'm not supposed to talk about that." Instead he talked about his work on the Madagascar 2 soundtrack and a new Black Eyed Peas record.
Fortunately, there's always Kanye West and his blog to leak information. In a post earlier this week, he simply put "WILL I AM IS PRODUCING ON U2's NEXT ALBUM. I'M SURE IT WILL BE DOPE AS SHIT JUDGING FROM THE CRAZY BEATS HE'S DONE IN THE PAST 3 YEARS!" It's hard to say why Kanye felt the need to share this information, but my guess is that he wanted to divert the attention away from his losing feud with Stephen Colbert.
And U2's groundbreaking new sound will sound like...
