A prolific producer and diverse DJ, Will Saul's latest contribution to Melbourne based EQ's Balance mixed series is killer. This is a fantastic mix that spans three full-length CDs and runs close to four hours, and is top-notch from beginning to end. The track selection and programming are incredible, considering the mood shifts from tech house to drum & bass to dub-step to disco house and back again. Saul does it all with style, and during the entirety of this mix nothing seems forced or patched together ― the music flows organically and naturally to the point of being an epic masterpiece without all the trappings the word "epic" often connotes. There is a laidback quality to this mix that's also often overlooked in DJ mixes; Saul plays with a style that could rock a dance floor but is complex enough for a beautiful headphone chill experience. Without a doubt, Balance 15 is one of the best collections of 2009!
