Will Haven

Will Haven’s second album is an evil-sounding, downtuned, metal/hardcore release that is as heavy as anything else in the genre. Problem is, that’s all it is. No innovation has been added to a sound that is equal parts Snapcase, Bloodlet and Korn, besides the audio noise pieces that serve as intros and sample or two. Will Haven are still a crushingly heavy band, laden with potential and some very big name supporters (Max Cavellara, Chino from the Deftones). Still, they’re not doing anything really interesting with their sound, besides being competent at it. In today’s musical climate, sometimes that is enough.
