The Wilderness of Manitoba Reveal Canadian Tour Behind 'Between Colours'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 25, 2014

As previously announced, Toronto's the Wilderness of Manitoba will reveal a few different shades of themselves next month with their upcoming Between Colours. As the fall turns green leaves into their crisp, tawny-tinted futureselves, the band will also take their indie folk songbook on tour.

A press release reveals that the trip begins just a few days after the record arrives in stores September 16 via Pheromone Recordings. After launching in Saint John, NB, on September 19, the trek makes its way through various Maritimes venues before the act tackle 10 Ontario performances.

You'll find all of the details behind the Wilderness of Manitoba's upcoming travels down below.

As revealed earlier in the summer, the group's upcoming album was tracked at Revolution Recording in Toronto with producer Joe Dunphy (Skydiggers, By Divine Right, Elliott Brood). The album is said to be split into two five-song sections representing "day" and "night," and features guest appearances from Rush's Alex Lifeson and the Rheostatics' Michael Phillip Wojewoda, among others.

Beneath the tour dates you'll find a live video of the album's previously premiered single, "Leave Someone," which presents a fuzz-flecked melody and the intricate, intertwining duet between the group's Will Whitwham and Amanda Balsys.
