What better way to celebrate five years as a label then to take the majority of your roster out on tour? That's exactly what White Whale Records has planned for May and June, as it celebrates its fifth anniversary of record-making.
Beginning May 7, a good chunk of the label's bands will hit the road as a family, beginning in the label's new HQ of Toronto. From there they'll hit Montreal and Ottawa before taking a well deserved rest and picking up out west towards the end of June. In it for the long haul are the Mohawk Lodge and Octoberman, while Eamon McGrath, Poorfolk, Precious Fathers and Tusks will all hit up select dates.
In support of the tour, White Whale has put together a special collection sampler that features some of the label's earliest releases, such as Kids These Days and songs from up-and-coming albums by acts like Octoberman and Precious Fathers, all set to be released later this year. This collection will be available exclusively "off stage" on the tour.
