The White Stripes Get Their Own Photo Book

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 16, 2010

As well as being pioneers in the garage rock revival of last decade, the White Stripes are one of the flashiest-looking bands around. Even casual fans who are unfamiliar with their catalogue are likely to recognize the duo's distinctive red, white and black colour scheme. It's fitting, then, that ES Books will be releasing a photo book about the White Stripes this fall.

Due out October 22, the book is called Three's a Crowd. The pictures were shot by Ewen Spencer, and document the band's rise to fame from 2001 to 2005. Spencer has a long history with the band, having shot them for numerous magazines. He also took the photo that's on the front cover of 2005's Get Behind Me Satan.

According to Pitchfork, the book will contain outtakes and never-before-seen photos. That's one of the pictures above. There's currently no North American release date. Even if you have to splurge for overseas shipping fees, however, it's still probably going to be cheaper than Jimmy Page's photo book.
