A few weeks after the White Mandingos teased their concept LP The Ghetto Is Tryna Kill Me with a stream of the dub-and-punk title track, the ensemble have unleashed a video companion.
Rhymer Murs, as the album's fictional aspiring rock singer Tyrone White, lays out plans to escape Harlem ("I'd rather be swaggin' on my heavy metal shit than to be you and wind up dead in the ghetto, bitch") while sticking up a cabbie with a liquor-pounding lady in tow. Eventually, he joins up with the band's Darryl Jennifer and Sacha Jenkins to run through the hyper-speed back section in a parking lot.
