White Denim Get Set To Release Second Album

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Apr 6, 2009

Genre-bending rawkers White Denim have announced the details of album number two. Called Fits, it's due out on June 22 in the UK on Full Time Hobby and according to the Texan trio, it's a self-described "friendship record."

"We were congratulating each other for having good ideas," says singer/guitarist James Petralli in the PR. "We went through a lot of positive and negative things and came out of it a lot closer."

The release also went on to say we we should expect "more jazz and soul" this time out, hinting that White Denim have ventured further into the fusion territory, while saying, "there are melodic hooks to spare."

Along with this follow-up to last year's Working Holiday (or Exposion in the U.S.), the band have some tour dates scheduled, both here in North American and across the pond. In fact, White Denim play Vancouver tonight (April 6) at the Media Club before trekking back south for a few more shows in the U.S. this month.
