Whistler's Ski & Snowboard Festival Ropes In Broken Social Scene, Tokyo Police Club, Black Mountain
This year, the TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival will be returning to Whistler, BC. Taking place from April 15 to 24, the event is timed to coincide the end of the ski season. Even those who don't enjoy snowy sports will have a reason to make the trek up the mountain, as the festival will be bring an impressive musical lineup to Whistler Village.

Among the artists who have already been announced are Broken Social Scene, Tokyo Police Club, Black Mountain, Gogol Bordello and Fort Knox Five. Best of all, these shows are free, as they will take place during the day at outdoor stages in the village. There will also be a series of club shows at night, including another performance by Tokyo Police Club.

This is only the initial lineup announcement, so expect more bands to be announced in the weeks leading up to the festival. The event also includes film, photography and art portions. The schedule for the ten days is right here.

Last year's TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival included performances by Arrested Development, Classified, a reunited Big Sugar, Five Alarm Funk, We Are the City, Kellar Williams, and more.
