Twilight of the Computer Age

BY David LewisPublished Feb 1, 2000

Here even the drummer/band leader plays guitar in performances that never feature less than three guitars and sometimes as many as seven. While Bob Dylan used five guitars in "Obviously Five Believers" to stunning effect on Blonde on Blonde, this project features at least one amplified guitar too many, despite the ecstatic rolling groove of "Five," the minimalist funk dynamics of "Iridium Bop"and uptempo drive of "Rakshak." Welcome to the resurgence of the rock pig guitar band!
