We're (No Longer) Marching On

Toronto-via-Guelph, ON indie-prog hopefuls We're Marching On have apparently called it a day... for now. The boisterous band known for their triumphant live shows and multiply-released EP, Argh! Umph! Ahhh!, will spend their time focusing on other projects for the time being.

Speaking to Exclaim!'s Vish Khanna, WAMO keyboardist Ryan Carley explained the hiatus/split, saying, "The official line is we're just stopping right now. It's not that we're not done, but i'm not going to write 'we're done.' It is likely that the four of us will get together and jam when we're much much older. In the meantime, we'll all be playing music and working hard in other ways."

Carley went on to give an update as to who is now doing what, adding, "Steve Hesselink is busy being One Heart Many Hands and is writing great new songs. I'm stringing things together with Kite Hill, and making a record with ohbijou. Steve Lappano is playing with Kite Hill, Germans, and is beat keeping for Forest City Lovers on their upcoming tour out east. [And] Tim is working on music and sculpture and traveling."
