We/Or/Me

"The Dusty Roads" (video)

Chicago's Bahhaj Taherzadeh crafts atmospheric folk music under the moniker We/Or/Me, and to show a bit of that off, Exclaim! has got the premiere of his latest video for "The Dusty Roads."

Taherzadeh comes from a long lineage of storytelling — inheriting traditions and inspiration from both his Irish and Persian roots, and honing his own musical chops in addition to working as a manuscript editor and writer. Those experiences come through in his dark, brooding and narrative style of songwriting.

His latest single "The Dusty Roads" perfectly encapsulates that sound, while the accompanying visuals enhance the eerie, melancholic side to the music. Directed by Alberta-based TV creator Ramin Yadzi, the clip follows Taherzadeh as he wanders through an expansive cemetery with his acoustic guitar.

The track is slated to appear on We/Or/Me's upcoming album Everything Behind Us Is a Dream, which is due out on January 29. For now, watch the video for "The Dusty Roads" below.
