With Zeds Dead's Northern Lights now shining down upon us, the Canadian EDM duo are giving it an extra push with a new video for its "Too Young,"which comes equipped with guest spots by Weezer's Rivers Cuomo and Pusha T.
As you'll soon see, the video is a full-on claymation experience, turning our social media-obsessed modern world into a bright piece of throwback retroism.
Speaking on the inspiration for the new clip, director Chris Ullens had this to say:
Zeds Dead's "Too Young" has a cool style: it attracts you because it's catchy and solid, but then slaps you in the face with the darker lyrics. So I wanted to emulate that in the film: make an attractive and colourful world, but then comment on darker sides of our ever more "social-media connected" society. And as always with stop motion, it was hours and hours of work fuelled by true passion, so thanks to all who made it possible!
You can watch how that all plays out in the video for "Too Young" below.
Northern Lights is out now via Deadbeats. You can also see Zeds Dead's upcoming tour dates, which include some in Canada, over here.
